Moderation Policy

1. Purpose

Gumwall is a public profile and gallery space where creators and visitors can post images, GIFs, captions, comments, reactions, and profile details. This Moderation Policy explains what is allowed, what is restricted, what is removed, and how Safe Mode works. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Our default content standard allows expressive, mature, and suggestive community content up to the limits below. Safe Mode is a per-Gumwall upload setting: when it is enabled, every post added to that Gumwall must pass stricter safety checks, so content allowed under the default standard may be rejected. It is designed to make Gumwall more comfortable to open while streaming, screen-sharing, browsing at work, or appearing in general discovery. Safe Mode is not a child-safety guarantee, parental control system, or promise that every hidden item is unlawful or every visible item is appropriate for every audience.

2. How We Classify Content

Gumwall may classify uploaded and public content into moderation labels. Some labels trigger removal everywhere. Other labels are allowed by default but hidden, blurred, reduced in discovery, or otherwise limited when Safe Mode is on.

  • Clean: everyday content with no mature or sensitive focus.
  • Suggestive Safe: stylish, romantic, beach, fashion, fitness, cosplay, or body-focused content that is not primarily sexual.
  • Sexual Theme: mature but non-explicit content focused on sexualized posing, lingerie, boudoir styling, erotic jokes, or sexual topics.
  • Graphic Violence: realistic blood, gore, severe injury, death, or threatening weapon use.
  • Drugs or Intoxication: marijuana use, illegal drug references, visible intoxication, drug paraphernalia, or content that promotes tobacco, vaping, or heavy drinking.
  • Gambling: online or in-person gambling, sports betting, poker or fantasy sports involving real money, casino-style promotion, or gambling referral codes.
  • Significant Profanity: repeated, prominent, or targeted profanity or vulgar insults.
  • Politics or Sensitive Issues: highly charged political advocacy, elections, military conflict, civil unrest, or debate about sensitive social issues.
  • Shock or Disgust: content focused on vomit, feces, urine, body fluids, decay, infestation, dead animals, or similar shock value.
  • Dangerous or Illegal Activity: reckless stunts, weapon misuse, scams, fraud, illegal services, or instructions that could enable harm.

3. Content We Remove Everywhere

Some content is not allowed on Gumwall regardless of Safe Mode, audience, caption, context, or creator permission. We may remove it, restrict visibility, reclaim affected wall space, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, and report to law enforcement or safety organizations where required or appropriate.

  • Child sexual exploitation or abuse, sexualized depictions of minors, or content involving people who appear to be minors in sexual contexts.
  • Explicit sexual content, including sex acts, masturbation, oral sex, penetration, exposed genitals or anus, or pornography-focused framing.
  • Nudity or apparent nudity hidden only by censor bars, blur, stickers, hands, props, body paint, pasties, towels, bedsheets, or similar workarounds when the point is to imply exposed sexual body parts.
  • Non-consensual sexual content, sexual threats, sexual coercion, revenge porn, voyeurism, or sexual harassment.
  • Hate speech, extremist praise or propaganda, dehumanizing language, or attacks based on protected traits.
  • Targeted harassment, bullying, doxxing, credible threats, blackmail, or encouragement of others to abuse a person or group.
  • Self-harm or suicide encouragement, instructions, graphic imagery, or content that appears to express imminent intent to self-harm.
  • Graphic real-world violence, torture, mutilation, corpse imagery, or content celebrating serious harm.
  • Animal cruelty, bestiality, or graphic animal injury presented for shock, cruelty, or arousal.
  • Malware, phishing, scams, fraud, unauthorized advertising, impersonation, or attempts to manipulate Gumwall systems.
  • Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  • Illegal activity, illegal goods or services, or instructions for committing harm or evading law enforcement.

4. Sexual Content and Nudity

4.1 Allowed by Default

  • Swimwear, lingerie, underwear, pin-up, glamour, boudoir, sexy cosplay, and suggestive posing when no explicit sexual acts or prohibited body exposure are shown.
  • Romantic or flirtatious content, including kissing, dating jokes, and mild innuendo.
  • Artistic or fictional mature themes that are not pornographic, exploitative, or focused on explicit sexual anatomy or acts.

4.2 Hidden in Safe Mode

  • Lingerie, underwear-as-outfit, boudoir, bedroom thirst traps, or posts where sexual arousal is the obvious main point.
  • Images primarily framed around breasts, buttocks, groin, bulge, cameltoe, underboob, sideboob, or sheer clothing over sexual body areas.
  • Implied nudity, nude silhouettes, censor-bar humor, towel or bedsheet coverage, or hands or objects used to imply hidden nudity.
  • Captions, comments, usernames, or profile text that make otherwise mild imagery sexually explicit.
  • Fetish-coded content, hentai-adjacent content, prolonged sexualized kissing, microphone licking or kissing, or sexualized roleplay.

5. Safe Mode

Safe Mode is intended to be stream-safe and public-screen-safe. When Safe Mode is on, Gumwall should feel suitable for a creator to show during a livestream or for a visitor to browse in a mixed audience without being surprised by sexualized, graphic, shocking, gambling, drug-focused, or highly inflammatory content.

5.1 Safe Mode Generally Allows

  • Normal fashion, selfies, art, memes, game clips, community jokes, cosplay, gym, beauty, beach, pool, dance, and lifestyle content.
  • Swimwear in normal beach, pool, athletic, vacation, or fashion contexts, when the image is not centered on intimate body parts.
  • Mild romance, hugging, hand-holding, and brief non-sexual kissing.
  • Light profanity, mild horror themes, stylized fantasy violence, and non-graphic fictional action.
  • Recovery, awareness, educational, or support content about difficult subjects when non-graphic and not framed to provoke or shock.

5.2 Safe Mode Hides or Limits

  • Sexual themes and softcore content that may be allowed by default.
  • Realistic gore, blood, severe injury, surgery, death, weapons used threateningly, or violence presented for shock.
  • Marijuana use, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, intoxication-focused content, heavy drinking, tobacco or vape promotion, and drug-glorifying captions.
  • Gambling, betting slips, casino content, fantasy sports or poker involving real money, gambling wins, deposits, referral codes, or gambling-like promotions.
  • Repeated or prominent profanity, vulgar insults, crude sexual jokes, or captions intended to humiliate or attack.
  • Political ragebait, election propaganda, military conflict, civil unrest, protest violence, or debate content about sensitive social issues when framed to inflame.
  • Vomit, feces, urine, body fluids, dead animals, infestation, decay, or other shock/disgust imagery.
  • Dangerous stunts, reckless driving, weapon misuse, scam-like promotions, miracle cures, illegal services, or content encouraging unsafe behavior.

6. Context Matters

We review content in context. A single swimsuit photo at a beach is different from a profile repeatedly focused on intimate body parts. A horror costume is different from real gore. A political identity statement is different from targeted harassment or inflammatory propaganda. Captions, comments, usernames, hashtags, framing, repetition, wall placement, and surrounding account behavior may all affect moderation decisions.

Creators may also choose stricter settings for their own wall. A creator can decide that content Gumwall generally allows is not appropriate for their community, brand, stream, sponsor obligations, or personal boundaries.

7. Reports, Review, and Enforcement

We may use automated tools, human review, creator controls, user reports, trusted signals, and platform safety checks to identify content that may violate this Policy. Automated systems can make mistakes, so we may adjust decisions after review.

  • Visibility actions: hiding, blurring, labeling, age-gating, disabling Safe Mode visibility, reducing discovery, or removing from search/trending surfaces.
  • Content actions: removing a post, comment, image, GIF, profile field, reaction, username, or wall element.
  • Account actions: warnings, temporary restrictions, upload limits, wall access limits, creator tool limits, suspensions, or termination.
  • Tile actions: rejecting an upload, reverting a tile, releasing a reservation, reclaiming space, or preventing repeat placement of violating content.
  • Safety actions: preserving relevant records, escalating for urgent review, or reporting to law enforcement, NCMEC, or equivalent authorities where required or appropriate.

A single severe violation may lead to immediate removal or account termination. Repeated borderline violations, attempts to evade detection, or use of alternate accounts may also lead to stronger enforcement.

8. Appeals and Mistakes

If you believe we made a mistake, you may contact us at [moderation contact] with the account, wall, post, or tile involved and a short explanation of why you believe the decision should be changed. We may uphold, reverse, or modify the decision. Some urgent safety, legal, fraud, or child-safety decisions may have limited appeal options.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Moderation Policy as Gumwall grows, as laws change, as safety risks evolve, or as creator and viewer expectations become clearer. If we make material changes, we will update this page and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
